Bret & Frisk: Press

Bret & Frisk are the ultimate. They learned a couple new songs for my wedding and debuted them at my ceremony. It stills feel like a dream hearing that song (they learned "Oh Heavenly Day" by Patty Griffin and rocked it!) and floating down the aisle. Ahhhhh ;)

They are a husband-wife team that play acoustical guitar and keyboards, but have a wide range of other musicians that can play with them too.

We just had the two of them for the cermony and for the cocktail hour. Throughout cocktail hour and through the end of the night, we had sooo many guests come up and ask who WERE those people?! It meant they were out of towners since everybody in the Northwoods knows who Bret & Frisk is. I just smiled and agreed how wonderful they were.

Thank you Bret and Frisk for taking the time to learn the songs, being so fun, and playing "Oh Heavenly Day" twice! And "Fire" :)

Hooray for such a success!

With the crowd growing to capacity, local faves Brett and Friske took full advantage of the opportunity to show their chops as they lit off one tune after another like M-80’s at a 4th of July celebration. Ending a spectacular 45 minute set world renowned slide guitarist Rusty Young added to Brett and Friske’s talent and helped build Teach Your Children and Rose of Cimarron into masterpieces seldom heard anywhere, let alone Land O’ Lakes Wisconsin. Eventually, Brett and Friske gave way and provided gorgeous backup to America’s Bunnell and friends along with Poco’s Young who thrilled the now capacity crowd with sing alongs like Ventura Highway, Lonely People and Crazy Love. Here I was with Gladys joining me for this spectacular 40 minute pop set from two industry legends who seemed to be having as much fun as they did when they were selling out places like Chicago Stadium in the day. The crowd was a sing along testament to the lyrical good time vibe provided by these two in our little neck of the woods.

Goodness...what fun I had at my party....and both of you were such a huge part of it.
I can't thank you enough for making the effort/working on your schedule to help me.
It wouldn't have been the same for me without  my Grand's running around helping
me celebrate.

We had dinner in Manitowish Waters Saturday night with three couples from "up north"
who were at the party....they were all still talking of how great you are!!!!!!  You are a much-loved
group up here, for sure.

Thank you for being such a great part of our weekend! i can't tell you how many people gushed about you guys Friday night and after our ceremony. The common comment was, "that was the best wedding ceremony music I've ever heard"

Dear Frisk and Bret;  We're back in SD at the lake and we wanted to drop you guys a note to express our gratitude for the beautiful and totally professional job you did at Thor and Holly's wedding!  Everyone was blown away and the comments we received ranged from "That was totally incredible" to" that was the most amazing music at a wedding we've ever heard"!!!!  The Friday night cook out, (maybe not my comedy act, I'd like to actually know the words to a tune and try that again sometime!!) the tunes at the ceremony, and the happy hour/dinner segment( WOW- no break?), it ALL could not have been better!!!  When we planned the music for the wedding event we wanted it to be memorable for all in
attendance and you both made that happen!!!  Most sincerely, a huge THANK YOU!!!   Best Regards,  Bill and Mary Hermanson

(ps.  Frisk, the duet you did with Denise and Hip Pocket, two BIG voices laying it down!  Awesome!!!)  Bill
