Take a step back in time at The Manitowish Waters Boat & Car Show, hosted annually on the Saturday of Memorial Day Weekend, on the grounds of the historic Little Bohemia Lodge. From birch canoes to pre-war boats like a 1936 Chris Craft Runabout to an original 2006 Ford GT, this show has something for everyone and every generation. Attend this must-see event to browse classic cars and antique boats – located both on land and water. Activities for the entire family include steam boat rides, face painting, kids’ games, live music by Bret & Frisk, plein air painters, and informational booths. Delicious food and beverage provided by Little Bohemia Lodge. Awards are given to over 12 categories of vehicles and boats including People’s Choice for all of the attendees to decide.

Here we go, Folks! This is the start of our 2022 summer season performing at the Pines Restaurant and Beer Garden, one of the COOLEST venues in the Northwoods! We will be here every other Sunday (give-or-take) throughout the summer until Labor Day Weekend. What a great way to spend part of your Memorial Day Weekend, where the food is outstanding, the staff is friendly and fun, and the live music is AWESOME!!! Hope to see you all there!

Bret & Frisk @ Minocqua Antique & Classic Boat Show

Torpy Park, 806 US-51, Minocqua, WI

The Minocqua Antique & Classic Boat Show will occur on June 17-18, 2022 on Lake Minocqua at Torpy Park. This annual event draws 60+ beautiful boats and 1000’s of spectators over the two (2) day event. The in-water and on-land boats include nostalgic wooden boats from the 40’s - 60’s, vintage fiberglass boats, as well as newer wooden boats. Don’t miss the boat parade Friday evening during the intermission of the Min-Aqua-Bat Water Ski Show.

Food, beverages, and great music are featured in conjunction with the Minocqua Lions Club. Don’t miss the Friday Old Fashion Shore Lunch Fish Fry. The show starts on Friday, June 17 around noon and goes until 8PM. Saturday the show starts at 10AM and lasts until 8PM. Live music and full throttle fun are in store for captains and mates of all ages.


Boulder Junction Carnival/Concert, featuring Roy Rivers

The Boulder Junction Community Playground Project is a community-wide based project whose goal is to provide a fun, safe, inclusive experience for residents and visitors alike.

The community as a whole is invited to “come and play together” to support this beautiful addition to our Sports and Recreation Park on Park Street planned for the fall of 2022.

Sponsored by the Lions Club of Boulder Junction, Inc. All proceeds benefit the Playground Fund.

Tickets: $20 for adults, $10 for Youth (ages7-17), children 6 & under are free. Families are encouraged to purchase concert tickets in advance. A “Family of 4 Package” is $40 and includes 4 admissions (2 adults/2 children or 1 adult/3 children). Theresa Smith, former Chamber Director, will be the emcee for the afternoon concert and will introduce the performers. Bret & Frisk, a local “treat” whose music ranges from a “few hits of the 1950’s all the way up to present day alternative rock and folk” will perform from 3:15pm-4:15pm. They have a very diverse song list of about 100 popular artists.

The concert headliner will be Roy Rivers, a John Denver tribute artist from Tucson, Arizona. Roy, a gifted singer/songwriter who has played in Boulder Junction before, will begin at 4:30 pm and play until 6:30pm. Roy performs many favorite John Denver songs, plus some of his own originals. The Lions Club will be selling food and the Richardson-Michaud American Legion Post #451 will be selling beverages during the afternoon and early evening.
